Wrekin Road Runners, here in their catalogue pose: Ken Richards, Kathy Ling and Ian Emery.   The Crown 10k - Dawley - 12th July 2002 Start of the Wrekin Road Runners own race, the Dawley Crown 10k. Note Ian with megaphone - the only way he can get anyone to listen to him. Also note that 'Back' Ward is not running. The official reason is 'shin splints' but notice the wet ground - the real reason...   Wolverhampton Marathon and Half-Marathon - 1st September 2002     Within 2 years of starting to run, Kathy Ling completes her first marathon at Wolverhampton. Not content with 26.2 miles, Kathy decides another 3 is the order of the day     Cardiff 10k - 8th September 2002 A beautiful sunny day in Cardiff with a finish at the Millenium Stadium: Paul 'Back' Ward, Lyndon 'Sprint Finish' Dudding, Damian 'I wish my French was as good as Ian's' Dumontier, Sara 'Wurzel' Davey and Ian 'Pit-Stop' Emery.   TAC Sexarathon Series - 11th September 2002 At the end of the Telford Sexarathon Series, Wrekin Road Runners pick up the following categories: Paul Ward - Joint First Overall Male Kathy Ling - First Overall Over 55 Female Gillian Pugh (not pictured) - Second Overall Over 35 Female.   Toury 10.5K - August 2002 Ian and Ken tout for business but Ian shows a little too much thigh... Ken is closely (but not that closely) followed by... ...Ian, who graciously gives The Royal Wave.   Amsterdam Half-Marathon - 26th October 2002 At the Amsterdam Half-Marathon: Ken Richards, Jon Stanton, Steve Miller, Ian Emery, Paul Ward, Sara Davey, Marie Elliot, Pat Adams and Marc Christian (not shown - camera shy...) Ken cruising to a 1:47 finish Marie crosses the line in 1:30:40 Steve manages to acknowledge the crowd as he strolls by to a 1:14:28 finish Marc 'Scooby' Christian trying (but failing) to look cool as he completes in 1:31:45
